Sourdough English Muffins

I have mentioned that DH has made a batch of English Muffins and a few cherries have asked for the recipe.

He got it from the King Arthur Baking Site.

It does call for a cup of sourdough starter. If we lived closer, I'd give y'all some! If you don't have a Sourdough Starter recipe, King Arthur has a good one:

Ohh, thanks a lot! I've always considered muffins the hardest to prepare.
The wet ingredients are tough to mix with the dry ingredients without activating too much gluten. It's well-known that traditional muffins contain relatively little sugar and fat that would help tenderize gluten, and the dough won't grow in the oven. Usually, I cook pecan pie bars when I'm in the mood to spend half of the day in the kitchen. Anyway, one day, I will learn how to cook the most perfect muffins on earth.
