Crop Challenge #13

Post by megamay »

I love techniques and trying new things, so we decided on a masking challenge. Use any medium and any kind of mask, just mask something.

Here is my example, I used the maya road chipboard trees as a mask with some glimmer mist, then the glimmer mist wasnt dark enough so I outlined the masked shapes.

but you dont need glimmer mist, you could use paint, or well, I don't know pretty much anything that you can spread over top of what you want to mask.

the category doesnt seem to be showing up in the list when you look at the homepage of the gallery, but you can select it as an option when you go to submit, so no worries! maybe it'll show up when someone adds a layout

wow, this is something I have not tried before, but luckily I do have glimmer screens that I pickd up a while ago. Is that the same thing?

yes glimmer screens are a type of mask. tim holtz also makes some masks, but really all you need for a mask is something to keep the mist or paint or whatever, off of the paper.

here is another one that I made a while ago, I used chipboard letters as the mask for the title and white paint as the medium

If we are digital can we use our version of masks or are we out of the game on this one?
