Here in MN we have tons of bridges. I have not ever paid too much attention to them until just last week. Like I have told you all, I work in downtown St Paul. I have worked in St Paul for 17 years now. I have driven past this bridge twice a day for thousands of times and have never given it a second thought. I am not sure why, but as I was driving in on a very beautiful morning, this bridge just caught my eye and I couldn't help but wonder about it's history and it's significance to MN. That is when it hit me that this would be my challenge to you. I am calling it The Bridge History Challenge.
I would like to see you take that black and white bridge picture and make a LO. You can choose whatever colors and paper or digi kit you want. You can use embellishments or not. The choice is yours. Just make the LO featuring your b&w photo of your bridge.
Ok that's too easy right........so for the real challenge, you have to go to my gallery and lift one of my LOs AND journal the history or significance of the bridge. The journaling can either be the history or maybe you have your own story to tell about the bridge. You decide. Post your LO here and also the one you lifted from me.
Submissions to this challenge are due midnight, EST on Sunday the 12th. There is a spot in the gallery too.
Here is my example and the Bridge I was talking about above.

Re: Bridge History Challenge
Mine is no fancy bridge, but it'll do for this. It will be intersting to look up the history!

Neat challenge!
Re: Bridge History Challenge
Did you say digi kit? Only digital? Not a problem for me, but what about the paper gals?

It's open to everyone. I made a typo, I should have type paper or digi kit

Re: Bridge History Challenge
This is the one I'm going to scraplift and I'm going to try a digi page. I've only done about 3 or 4 digi pages over the past 5 years. I'm kind of excited.
Here's mine

I'll have to see if I can find out some history/background on the one I was hoping to use.

Re: Bridge History Challenge
This could be fun! There is a local bridge that is actually called the tridge that I'd like to do. I already had pics of the Mighty Mac but this other bridge would be fun too!
Re: Bridge History Challenge
Started my layout and researched my bridge for the journaling. Will finish and post tomorrow. Can't wait to see everyone's bridge photos and how the layouts turn out.

Re: Bridge History Challenge
I posted my layout hours ago, and just realized I had not linked it up here.
My layout. I did a little digi art in that I extracted my cousin on his bike, and then layered the color version over the black and white version of the photo.
And I used this layout as my inspiration:
