Challenge - stateless #2 - ALL or NOTHING - WINNER!

Post by stateless »

These are all wonderful layouts! I know this was a kooky challenge, and I'm so glad you guys took it on!

The winner of 1000 points is.... pagal74!

Also 100 points to Deanna13, retiree3, and pagal74 for completing both ALL and NOTHING - wtg!

Congrats!

Hi everyone - hope you're having fun on this fine NSD! My challenge is a pretty simple idea centered around paper. We love paper... colored paper, patterned paper, fancy paper... it's all quite nifty. But what if you had rules on the paper you can use? That's where the challenge comes in.

You have two choices: ALL or NOTHING.

ALL: For ALL, you will only be able to use paper for your layout. That's it! No other embellishments or products - no washi, no wood, no enamel, no paint, nothing. Dig out your favorite papers and use them for every aspect of your layout - the title, the embellishments, everything! You can use a die cut machine, punches, scissors, or any other tools to alter your paper in any way you see fit. (Edited to add - you can use a writing implement for journaling!)

NOTHING: For NOTHING, you may only use one 12x12 sheet of white paper. Everything else on your layout has to come from other sources. Paint, washi, stickers, anything you can think of that's not paper. You can use packaged die cuts but not your die cutting machines (since those require paper - unless you're die cutting the one sheet of white cardstock).

For my example, I went with NOTHING. I used one sheet of watercolor paper and the rest is washi, ink, stickers, and some other goodies.

Image

One of these probably seems like the "easy" choice, but it really depends on your comfort zone.  I'd love for you to try something new! The winner of this challenge will get 1000 points. You can also complete both ALL and NOTHING for two entries. As an incentive to try both, I will award 100 points to everyone that does both.

The fine print:
  • This challenge ends on Friday, May 13 at 11:59 pm est.
  • New layouts only, and digi is welcome as long as it's in the spirit of the challenge.
  • Cannot be combined with any other challenges (except 25 Items).
  • Remember to include your layout in the gallery called "stateless ALL or NOTHING challenge" when you upload.
  • One randomly drawn winner will receive 1000 points.
  • You may do this challenge twice - once for ALL and once for NOTHING. Anyone who completes both will automatically receive 100 points.
Let me know if you have any questions. Have fun!

Love it! I love that you used the bling and gold elements to match the medals in the photo. Great job!

Here's my page.  I sure had to do more paper cutting than usual!  I have a new love for stickers and die cuts that come in packages!
I used the Lori Whitlock We Are Family collection papers.   The stripes, dots, and blue base papers, and the light blue under the title, are all 12x12 papers that I cut up.  The 3x4 cards came from one sheet of patterned paer.  I cut the banners, title, and flowers from patterned papers.  I did have to use ink for the paper edges.

I am running away from my responsibilities,
and it feels good!

And here's mine for the All part using only paper. I don't have a special cutting machine but I have border punched and punched the left edge. Also the rest of the pieces were cut from a sheet of patterned paper. Image
